Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove Launches “Caring Angel Awards” to Celebrate Compassionate Care

At Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove, exceptional care is built on the compassion, dedication, and kindness of our team members. To recognize those everyday moments that make a lasting difference in the lives of our residents, we are proud to introduce the Caring Angel Award. The awards are a new monthly recognition program celebrating staff members who go above and beyond in service to others. The program encourages employees to nominate coworkers who demonstrate extraordinary compassion, kindness, and commitment to resident care. Each month, one deserving team member will be selected as our Caring Angel and recognized for embodying the spirit of our mission.

The Caring Angel Award is designed to shine a light on the quiet acts of kindness that often happen behind the scenes. Whether it’s taking extra time to comfort a resident, celebrating life’s small victories, lending a listening ear, or stepping up during a difficult moment, these compassionate actions deserve to be recognized and celebrated.

We’re especially excited to announce Lisa Howard as the inaugural recipient of the Caring Angel Award. Lisa was recognized by Director of Nursing, Joe Bonetti, who presented her with an award and a commemorative shirt in honor of her outstanding commitment to resident safety and compassionate care.

Lisa earned this recognition after preventing a resident elopement. Remaining calm throughout the situation, she stayed by the resident’s side, ensured their safety, and immediately contacted fellow staff members to assist in de-escalating the situation. Her quick thinking, teamwork, and compassionate approach exemplify the highest standards of care and professionalism.

The Caring Angel Award is more than an employee recognition program, but a reflection of the culture at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove. By celebrating acts of compassion, we hope to inspire one another and reinforce the values that make our community feel like home.
