Like A Second Family: William

Meet William, who underwent triple cardiac bypass surgery in July of 2022, and as a result, faced significant challenges in regaining his mobility and independence. To aid in his recovery, William was referred to Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove for skilled physical and occupational therapy upon his discharge from the hospital.

At the start of his therapy, William required assistance for transfers and could only walk 70 feet with assistance and using a wheeled walker. His ability to perform daily living activities was also limited as he needed help with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and showering. These initial assessments highlighted the extensive support he needed to regain his prior level of independence.
