Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg has been celebrating it’s residents with a series of Drive-by-Parades hosted at the facility. These events give residents and their families an opportunity to “get together” while maintaining proper distance. Families were encouraged to make signs, decorate their vehicles, honk their horns, use noise makers and most importantly, have fun! It has been a great way to put a smile on many faces! Please visit these links to see the footage from our parades:

As per today, 3/13/2020, the medical director has placed visitor restriction related to the COVID-19 virus (Corona). This is an intervention to prevent and protect all residents. This is per CDC guidelines for Infection Prevention and control for residents in all nursing homes. You will be informed when the restriction has been lifted. The facility will notify you if any resident is assessed to have major change in status. The visitor will be assessed and restricted to the resident’s room for the visitation. Effective 3/12/2020, no cases of COVID-19 have been assessed in this facility. For any questions, comments or concerns, you can contact the Nursing Home Administrator or Director of Nursing.

Our facility offers Rehab Suites as well as in house Peritoneal Dialysis. Private rooms with private bathrooms offer the accommodations for the Dialysis equipment and supplies.

Rehab Suites offer a spacious, comfortable space for recovery with the privacy of an individual heated bathroom and shower.  Residents who have stayed in our suites have expressed how pleased they were with the amount of space in their accommodations. The suites allow enough room for family and friends to visit comfortably as well as plenty of room for medical equipment.  They like the privacy of their own shower, the friendly helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere, quietness of the hallway, good food, comfortable bed and nice size television.

FOOD DONATED — Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg recently donated food to the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen as part of an ongoing outreach program by the facility.
