COVID-19 Update August 26

During routine PCR testing of staff and residents, we had several staff and residents test positive for the COVID-19 virus beginning 8/13/22. Employees are on quarantine at home while residents are being quarantined in their private rooms. Since this is the first time that we’ve had more than 1 resident positive, the local Department of Health has directed us to close dining room services and large group activities until the outbreak has ended. We’re seeing good results in the past couple of days and don’t believe this outbreak will last long. We will keep you informed. We will continue with appropriate testing until we have all negatives for 2 weeks. In the interim, visitations are still open. We only ask that visitors call ahead of time, allow the health screening to occur before entering resident areas, sanitize hands, and wear a mask when walking through hallways and common areas. Staff are wearing N-95 mask and eye protection during this outbreak.
