COVID-19 Update December 3

12/3/2020 – COVID Update – Since my last update on 12/1, we have had 5 additional residents and 4 additional staff test positive for COVID.  Most are experiencing either no symptoms or symptoms primarily of cough, sore throat, general body aches, headache, diarrhea.  We continue to have staff quarantine at home and quarantine residents who test positive or have been exposed.  A new larger area was created today as our Red Zone COVID unit to better manage our current situation.  Our new area can care for 14 residents as opposed to our previous unit could only care for 5 residents at a time.  Currently we have 11 residents in quarantine on our Red Zone COVID unit with staff members specifically dedicated to this area.  We will start another round of testing on Monday for both staff and residents.  Please take care, be safe and we would be happy to help you with any questions you may have, please call Patty Weaver, Infection Preventionist or Vickie Kilmer Nursing Home Administrator at 717-334-6249.
