Independent/Residential Living

Residential Living at Shook Home provides apartment-style living for residents desiring the comfort and security of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) but who don’t yet require any supportive services. Residents can partake in three meals a day in the facility’s dining room and enjoy carefree living while the housekeeping and laundry staff attend to their daily needs. Residents may also take advantage of a variety of ancillary services to enable them to achieve their highest practicable level of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Skilled Nursing Care

Whether afflicted by a chronic, progressive condition or suffering from an acute illness or traumatic injury, the Shook Home provides the professional medical services to meet almost everyone’s needs. Long-term placement is an option for those who can no longer be cared for in the community while short-term placement is available to prepare residents to return home following a hospital stay or simply to give in-home caregivers a break. Hospice care is also available to care for residents with terminal illnesses.

Personal Care Home

Shook Home Personal Care provides 24-hour supportive services to those desiring to continue living an active lifestyle but need gentle support with their Activities of Daily Living. Examples include assistance with medication administration and bathing and dressing. Whether it’s for long-term placement or a short-term stay, the Quarters at the Shook can accommodate almost everyone’s needs. Long-term placement is an option for those wishing to downsize to apartment-style living in the security of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), while short-term placement is available to seasonal consumers or simply to give in-home caregivers a break.

Rehabilitation & Therapy

Our 12,000 square foot Rehabilitation & Wellness Center stands three stories tall and enables our therapists to treat a higher volume of residents in an enhanced therapeutic environment with new service lines – out-patient physical, occupational, and speech therapies as well as aquatic therapy. Therapy services include:
