Transitions Healthcare Goes Red for Heart Health: Supporting National Wear Red Day and Heart Health Month

At Transitions Healthcare, our mission goes beyond providing exceptional care; we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents, staff, and community. This February, we are proud to join the fight against heart disease by participating in National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 7th, 2025, and supporting Heart Health Month through a series of impactful initiatives.
Why We’re Wearing Red
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, affecting millions of individuals and their families. National Wear Red Day, an initiative of the American Heart Association (AHA), serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of heart health and the steps we can take to prevent cardiovascular diseases. On February 7th, 2025, our residents, staff, and leadership at all Transitions Healthcare facilities will proudly wear red to show solidarity with this critical cause and inspire others to take charge of their heart health.
Fundraising for Heart Health
In addition to wearing red, Transitions Healthcare is hosting several fundraising events across our facilities throughout February. These events are designed not only to raise funds for the AHA but also to educate our community about heart health and prevention strategies.
Reinforcing Our Commitment to Excellence in Heart Care
Our commitment to heart health extends beyond awareness and fundraising. Both our North Huntingdon and Gettysburg locations are pursuing certification as Certified Heart Failure Skilled Nursing Facilities through the AHA. This prestigious certification reflects our dedication to providing evidence-based care for individuals living with heart failure. By achieving this recognition, we aim to enhance outcomes and improve the quality of life for our residents managing chronic heart conditions.
Join Us in Making a Difference
We encourage everyone to participate in National Wear Red Day on February 7th by donning their favorite red attire and helping spread awareness. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the fight against heart disease. Whether you join us at one of our fundraising events, donate to the AHA through our dedicated campaign page, or simply commit to a healthier lifestyle, every effort counts.
At Transitions Healthcare, we believe in the power of community and collective action. Let’s wear red, raise awareness, and take heart health to the next level—because together, we can save lives.
